Nous recommandons de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un test de radon par mesures pr\u00e9ventives.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><b>Qu&rsquo;est-ce que le radon?<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Le radon est un gaz radioactif incolore et inodore provenant de la d\u00e9composition du radium et de l&rsquo;uranium dans le sol et pr\u00e9sent dans la cro\u00fbte terreste de notre belle plan\u00e8te terre. Il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme la seconde cause de cancer du poumon apr\u00e8s le tabagisme par Sant\u00e9 Canada et l&rsquo;Association pulmonaire du Qu\u00e9bec. \u00c0 l&rsquo;air libre, il ne constitue pas un risque. Cependant, en s&rsquo;infiltrant dans les espaces clos des b\u00e2timents, la concentration peut repr\u00e9senter un risque pour la sant\u00e9 des personnes. Comment le radon peut s&rsquo;infiltrer? Par les fissures des fondations ou dans la dalle de b\u00e9ton en sous-sol, les planchers en terre battue tel les vides sanitaires ou surnomm\u00e9 cave de service, les bassins de captations (puisard), par les percements de toute nature des fondations et de la dalle de b\u00e9ton . Par les joint de fondations de blocs de b\u00e9ton ou de pierres joint\u00e9es ou par un sous-sol en terre battue sans coupe-vapeur continu.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Les agences de sant\u00e9 internationales et les grandes organisations&nbsp;ont reconnu que le radon est un agent canc\u00e9rog\u00e8ne selon sant\u00e9 Canada.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><b>Comment savoir si des risques associ\u00e9s au radon sont pr\u00e9sent dans ma maison? <\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Seul une prise de mesure \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;\u00e9quipements appropri\u00e9s peut d\u00e9terminer le niveau de radon pr\u00e9sent. Le niveau de radon se mesure en becquerel par m\u00e8tre cube, bq\/m3. Au Canada lorsque le niveau est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 200 Bq\/m3 des mesures d&rsquo;att\u00e9nuations doivent \u00eatre prises pour la sant\u00e9 des occupants.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Les endroits cibl\u00e9es par une prise de mesure devrait \u00eatre situ\u00e9es l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les personnes passent 4 heures et plus par jour. <u>Il est inutile de r\u00e9aliser une prise de mesure de radon pour un endroit o\u00f9 la dur\u00e9e du passage est occasionnelle comme une salle de lavage en sous-sol<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><b>Comment effectuer une prise de mesure?<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">Sant\u00e9 Canada recommande une prise de mesure sur une p\u00e9riode minimale de 3 mois et id\u00e9alement sur une p\u00e9riode de 12 mois. La p\u00e9riode id\u00e9ale \u00e9tant d&rsquo;octobre \u00e0 avril. Les mois d&rsquo;hiver ou nous ventilons le moins nos habitations repr\u00e9sente la p\u00e9riode id\u00e9ale.
